The Hill Professional Building was ailing under decades of deferred maintenance and low occupancy. Located only one block from the thriving business and independent retail center of town, the 1940’s building languished with a leaky roof, but with so much potential. In partnership with Modus Studio, we breathed new life into the old building with a gut renovation, creating naturally-lit spaces that are home to a coffeehouse, shops, and offices. A new open-air porch strengthens the connection to the sidewalk and street. This renovation has brought new energy to a long-dormant area adjacent to the Block Street shopping district and the Fayetteville Square.
