Water Conservation

Summer is here, which means it is officially HOT outside! We must stay mindful of water conservation throughout these next few scorching months here in NWA. Check out these three tips you can use to help reduce your water usage this summer.

STEP ONE

Shorten your showers: Trimming just two minutes off your shower can save up to 1,750 gallons of water per person in your household each year.

STEP TWO

Use your dishwasher: Believe it or not, Energy Star-rated dishwashers only use 3 gallons of water per wash, versus the average 27 gallons for a big load that is hand-washed.

STEP THREE

Utilize the car wash: Washing a car at home can easily use 100 gallons of water, not to mention an awful lot of time and effort; commercial car washes often use only 40 gallons or less of fresh water.
