New Faces Bring Expertise

SREG Adds Seasoned Leadership to Development & Operations

We have expanded our senior leadership team with the hire of two seasoned executives. Vice President Lawrence Finn heads Real Estate Development, and Vice President Rebecca Burkes leads Internal Operations.

Vice President Lawrence Finn

Lawrence Finn has more than 30 years of experience in the construction and development industry during which he has been responsible for a diverse range of projects spanning many national markets. He has extensive experience managing mixed use neighborhood developments, which have received the Urban Land Institute’s Award of Excellence and the Congress for New Urbanism’s Charter Award. Recently, as Chief Operating Officer of the Village at Hendrix, Lawrence directed the planning and development of an approximately 92-acre village for Hendrix College. The Village at Hendrix was the recipient of Metroplan’s Regional Planning and Leadership Award. Before joining Specialized Real Estate Group, Lawrence was Managing Partner of his own real estate development and consulting firm, Dakota Development. Recent projects include the mixed use neighborhood of Mission Heights in Fayetteville, which he and his team revived from dormancy, and residential and commercial projects in North Little Rock and Conway.

Vice President Rebecca Burkes

Rebecca Burkes has more than 25 years of experience in law, operations, and real estate development. Rebecca spent the early part of her career as corporate counsel at Walmart Stores, Inc. and then as co-founder and manager of a diversified real estate development, construction and brokerage company with 28 agents which developed multiple multi-story office buildings, built over 125 homes, and had annual sales of approximately $70,000,000. Rebecca also worked as an assistant professor of management at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and an assistant clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School’s Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic where she managed operations for legal clinic serving over 200 new business clients each year. For three years prior to joining SREG, Rebecca was the Deputy Director and General Counsel at the Department of Arkansas Heritage, a state agency with over 200 employees which includes the Historic Preservation Program, the Natural Heritage Commission and the Old State House Museum.

“As we work to meet our region’s need for thoughtful homes, workplaces, and gathering places, I’m confident that Lawrence and Rebecca’s combined skills will allow us to scale to meet those needs, while deepening our commitment to build healthy places that connect people to neighbors and nature,” said Jeremy Hudson, SREG CEO.
